A group of state legislators from every corner of Indiana today endorsed Sen. Barack Obama for president. Thirteen of the 25 lawmakers backing Obama held a Statehouse news conference to urge Hoosiers to support Obama in the May 6 primary election. "There, you've had it," Sen. Earline Rogers, a Gary Democrat, said after the lawmakers spoke. "Indiana, north, south, east, west, middle. Black, white, Hispanic. Urban, rural. We cross all of these spectrum. And with those kinds of demographics that Indiana possesses, those are precisely the democgraphics that will make Barack Obama the next president of the United States.

Emile de Antonio 's documentary, America Is Hard to See, has a segment on Indiana and is out on DVD.
I saw it at SFMOMA a while back.
And since it is almost April 4th, there is this sad history

The story names 2 Gary legislators as members of this group, but it doesn't give any other names. It mention that Pat Bauer and Vi Simpson are sticking with Senator Clinton. Vi Simpson represents the most liberal-leaning district in the state senate, and Pat Bauer is a hero to gay voters, because he has orchestrated the failure of an anti-gay marriage amendment to get into the state constitution. So there is some more shifting that needs to happen in that state before everyone is aboard the bus for Senator Obama.

in a different article. They include:
Among those endorsing Obama are House Majority Leader Russ Stilwell of Boonville and House Ways and Means Chairman William Crawford of Indianapolis, and Senators Earline Rogers of Gary and Lindel Hume of Princeton, both members of their party's Senate leadership.
and also
Other Indiana legislators whom the Obama campaign said have endorsed Obama are: Sens. Tim Lanane of Anderson and John Broden of South Bend and Reps. Dennis Avery of Evansville; Jeb Barden, John Bartlett, John Day, Greg Porter and Vanessa Summers of Indianapolis; Charlie Brown and Vernon Smith of Gary; Mara Candelaria Reardon of Munster; Dave Crooks of Washington; Chet Dobis of Merrillville; Ryan Dvorak of South Bend; Dale Grubb of Covington; Phil Hoy of Evansville; Linda Lawson of Hammond; Scott Pelath of Michigan City; Matt Pierce of Bloomington; Scott Reske of Pendleton; and Trent Van Haaften of Mount Vernon.
A pretty wide collection, though missing leadership like Bayh and B. Patrick Bauer

This is actually quite a wide geographic range. I'm impressed.
Munster/Merrillville... is plausible. No way he will get votes from St John, Crown Point, Lowell, etc, even Dyer is a stretch. They're pure white flight havens.

Surely Sen. Rogers meant "all of these spectra" (what with her classical education and all)...

This is the local House and Senate. The only Supers that have yet to endorse are the 5 House Dems (Visclosky, Donnely, Carson, Hill, and Ellsworth). None of these 25 are Superdelegates, unfortunately.
